So, how does it link?

My final piece!

For my final piece I wanted to make my retelling into the shape of the jar from the story, containing Hope inside. However, I quickly found this was much easier said than done. 

In order to write my retelling of Pandora's myth I turned to my favourite sources that contained her myth. Regrettably, out of the bookshelf of books on mythology I own, only two contained the story of Pandora's Jar. 

To come up with an idea I wanted to develop further and eventually submit for this project I returned to what my idea of hope was. I very quickly found that because of my love of mythology in all forms whenever I thought of hope I immediately returned to the myth of Pandora's Jar.

My original idea for this project was to produce a small book made up of a collection of myths. My idea was to include as many different myths, from as many different mythologies as possible that were linked through the theme of hope. However, after I had made my initial plan (see above) it quickly became a very complex and involved task. Much to my dismay, I had to abandon this idea, so quickly started to think of more.
